5-Star Texas Lineman Sends Excited Message to Michigan Wolverines

The Michigan Wolverines have compiled some of the best offensive line classes in recent school history in recent years, coming to a head with Andrew Babalola, Avery Gach, Kaden Strayhorn and late addition Ty Haywood from Texas in the Class of 2025.

The Wolverines' Class of 2025 haul could result in two or more players who start at some point during their freshman seasons for Coach Sherrone Moore's team.

Moore, who played offensive line for the Oklahoma Sooners, and his offensive line coach Grant Newsome have gained reputations as top flight developers of talent along the position group.

Recently, another five-star lineman from the class of 2026 shared the latest update and thoughts on visiting Ann Arbor in the coming weeks.

'I'm five-star Felix Ojo and I'm excited to get back to Michigan," five-star Class of 2026 offensive tackle Felix Ojo shared in a video on Monday.

Ojo stands 6-foot-7 and weighs 274 pounds. He currently plays for Lake Ridge High School in Mansfield, Texas and has been offered by the home state Longhorns, Sooners, Wolverines, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Ohio State Buckeyes and others.

He made his announcement in a Louisiana State University Tigers t-shirt as he shared the news of his June 6 official visit with Wolverines fans.

Michigan has received five pledges from Class of 2026 players including interior offensive lineman Bear McWhorter and recent pledge Brady Smigiel, a four-star quarterback from Newbury Park, California.

Smigiel is the only Class of 2026 player who is rated four stars or higher as the Wolverines currently have four three-star pledges.

The class is reminiscent of many the Wolverines brought in under former coach Jim Harbaugh, who often identified diamond-in-the-rough type talents ranked below the four and five-star threshold and secured their pledges early, leading to three Big Ten titles and a national title.
