Usually, fans love to show up to college football games if their school is competing against a top-25 opponent. However, that wasn't the case for this Saturday afternoon's showdown between No. 16 Virginia and North Carolina.
Virginia has enjoyed an incredible start to the season, picking up statement wins over Stanford, Florida State and Louisville just to name a few. The Cavaliers are 6-1 and firmly in contention in the ACC.
We can't say this season has been a hug success for North Carolina. The Tar Heels have suffered a handful of blowout losses under Bill Belichick's command this season.
That being said, North Carolina has looked pretty competitive in the first half against Virginia this Saturday. Unfortunately, students at Chapel Hill didn't show up for this game.
Prior to kickoff, The Daily Tar Heel shared a photo of the scene at Kenan Stadium. Let's just say it was an embarrassing crowd size for North Carolina.
This is @BeckettBrant and @briandaguanno4 reporting from Kenan Stadium as the Tar Heels are set to take on Virginia in about 20 minutes. UNC is still searching for its first conference and Power Four win.

Earlier this month, Andrew Jones of 247Sports.com’s Inside Carolina and Ollie Connolly of The Guardian reported that Belichick could be out after this season.
“Reports of serious recruiting violations remain under investigation at UNC. Recruiting and practice violations have already been proven by the school, according to multiple sources,” Connolly wrote. “Using recruit violations to knockdown a coaches buyout has become a standard practice. If Belichick cannot find a landing spot to trigger his own buyout, he’s excepted to accept a greatly reduced, compromised rate.”
Belichick has since said that he's committed to North Carolina, but that won't silence all the rumors if he keeps losing.
North Carolina is currently 2-4 on the season. We'll see if Belichick can turn things around for the Tar Heels before this year is over.
