Adisa Isaac examines best memories at Penn State

The Senior Bowl practices have been taking place this week in Mobile, Alabama. Plenty of former college stars are trying to grab the attention of GMs, scouts, and NFL decision makers in hopes of pursuing their lifelong dreams at the next level. One player who has turned some heads this week is former Penn State edge rusher, Adisa Isaac.

On Thursday’s edition of Andy Staples On3, Isaac shared some of his best memories from his days in State College.

“I would say just the summer. Summertime at the creamery (Penn State Berkey Creamery), I would say. Because we would go with some of my teammates, the d-line, you know we’d all go. After hard practice, you know we’d head to the creamery and just bond and have a good time. And it was some of the memories that I can’t forget. It was just great times at State College,” Isaac said.

What was his go-to flavor at the creamery? “At first, I like the death by chocolate. That was a nice one. But you know, I’m a vanilla guy. But the death by chocolate took me. I would go with vanilla before chocolate, but death by chocolate showed up and stole my heart.”

Adisa Isaac moving on from Penn State

If Penn State finally defeats both Michigan and Ohio State next season, Isaac won’t be there to see it. On Dec. 27, Isaac declared for the 2024 NFL Draft. Isaac could’ve declared for the draft last year but opted to run it back with Penn State.

It paid off, as he turned in the best numbers of his career, setting new career highs with 15.0 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks — leading the Nittany Lions in both categories. That came after 11 TFLs and 4.0 sacks a year ago.

“These have been some of the most remarkable years of my life,” Isaac wrote. “For five years I have been able to go to work and make lifelong memories with my brothers and this great coaching staff. We’ve competed in front of the best fans in the country, and none of this has ever been taken for granted.

“What a privilege it has been to be able to pursue my academic career as well. And now I can also call myself a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University. … I am excited to share that after the Peach Bowl, I will be declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft. I am extremely excited for this next opportunity that lies ahead for me.”

The 2024 Senior Bowl will be played on Saturday, Feb. 3rd. The game will be televised by NFL Network and is set to begin at 1:00 PM EST.
