Alabama football’s four-star tight end commit, Colt Lumpris plans to officially visit the Crimson Tide on the weekend of May 29, and it looks to be the first official visit he will take.
Lumpris attends The Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, and he garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites. The New Jersey product is one of four 2027 recruits verbally committed to Alabama at the moment. Alabama is currently the only program expected to host Lumpris for an official visit.
Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide’s outside linebacker coach Christian Robinson visited Lumpris in New Jersey last month, and he shared he felt good about his commitment to the Tide after the visit.
“I am pretty locked in with Alabama,” Lumpris told Touchdown Alabama.
The 6-foot-7, 235-pounder is an obvious mismatch when he lines up out wide with his length. Some of the most impressive parts of his game at this point, is his ability to catch the football as a big target and work after the catch while getting up the field.
Lumpris pulled in 44 receptions for 812 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior.
