
The No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide is 7-1 this season and at No. 4 in the latest Associated Press polls.
Alabama's only loss of the season came in the first game of the season against Florida State.Since then, Kalen DeBoer's team has wins over top 25 teams including Georgia, Vanderbilt, Missouri and Tennessee.
Alabama just defeated South Carolina in Week 9 and had a bye in Week 10.
Quarterback Ty Simpson has played well after beating out Keelon Russell and Austin Mack for the starting job, and the offensve line has certainly helped in that regard.
Ahead of Week 11, Alabama revealed some big news regarding star offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor.
Proctor is a semifinalists for the Lombardi Award.
"Alabama's Kadyn Proctor was named a semifinalist for the Lombardi Award, the statement read. "Proctor is one of 13 semifinalists for the Lombardi, which is presented annually to the college football offensive or defensive lineman who, in addition to outstanding performance and ability, best exemplifies the character and discipline of NFL Hall of Famer Vince Lombardi."

Alabama has had three players win the award previously: Cornelius Bennett (1986), Jonathan Allen (2016) and Will Anderson Jr., which came in 2022.
Proctor originally committed to Iowa in June 2022 and then decommitted and flipped to Alabama in December 2022.
Then, he entered the transfer portal after the 2023 season and committed to Iowa again in January 2024.
However, Proctor again changed course, entering the portal in April 2024 and flipping to Alabama once again, so it has been a whirlwind for the talented tackle.
This sesason, Proctor has done really well, receiving an 81.3 overall grade according to Pro Football Focus.
Now, the Crimson Tide star is a semifinalist for a prestigous award as they try to finish out the season strong in hopes of an SEC title game berth.
