The Alabama Crimson Tide might not play again until Saturday, but Tuesday night was one of their biggest wins of the season and they didn't even play a snap.

That's because after coming into the Bayou and blowing out the LSU Tigers, Alabama rose from 11 in the initial CFB rankings to number 10.

The Tide were bound to see a green arrow compared to last week when you consider they beat the Tigers and saw losses from both Georgia and Miami. At this point, barring a major letdown as a heavy favorite against Mercer, Oklahoma or Auburn, the Tide have cemented themselves in the postseason.

Following the loss to Vanderbilt, that was far from the case, and a loss against the Tennessee Vols a few weeks later only sent the fanbase into an even bigger tizzy after seeing two losses before October for the first time in a decade plus.

But now is not the time to let off the gas, or in the case of Kalen DeBoer, take the blinders off. DeBoer wasn't even aware of the rankings last week, and if he's asked about where the team falls during this week's SEC conference call, hopefully he has the same answer, even if Saturday's opponent is the Mercer Bears.

"I mean, right now we know we just have to keep winning, and that's what it's about. I didn't realize even where we were ranked until just now, so I knew we'd probably be up there somewhere," said DeBoer when asked about being ranked 11th in last Tuesday's rankings. "But you know, each week is what it's about for us, and if we do what we need to do, then it will work itself out. And so that's the approach we have this week. That's the approach we had, after Tennessee as well. Just focus on what we call next play mindset, next game mindset. And that's the only thing that matters."

We'll see if the Tide bring that same mindset over the final three weeks of the season.
