Alabama fans did not like losing Caleb Downs to the NCAA transfer portal, but his replacement is pretty good.
The Crimson Tide picked up former Michigan safety Keon Sabb from the portal.
He collected 28 tackles, five pass breakups, and two interceptions for the Wolverines last season. Sabb, a New Jersey native, helped the program to a Big Ten Championship and a College Football Playoff National Championship. The 6-foot-1, 208-pounder is a playmaker on the back end and should fit in well with Malachi Moore. He joins Domani Jackson (transfer cornerback from USC) as another defensive back with experience to help a young Alabama secondary in the coming fall.
Tide fans are excited to see Kalen DeBoer pull a marquee defensive back from the portal.
