Alabama football’s wide receiver room is led by Germie Bernard and Ryan Williams, and the duo feels Tide fans should be excited about other wide receivers in the room.
Williams, Bernard and Isaiah Horton, who transferred from Miami to Alabama, are expected to be the Tide’s featured wideouts in 2025. However, Williams feels there are some gems not being talked about enough.
“We have a lot of secret gems,” Williams said during the latest episode of Alabama Athletics’ The Bama Standard. “Some guys on offense, like a Jalen Hale.”
Hale returned to action during the spring after sitting out a full year after suffering a significant knee injury in the spring of 2024. Williams spoke glowingly of Hale’s return during the spring.
“Jalen Hale is my superhero, just in case y’all was wondering,” Williams said. “I’m so proud of him. Like I said, all of our guys have been working hard but for him to come back like he did, he just doesn’t know. I’m extremely proud of him and I’m just excited for what the future holds.”
Alabama’s freshmen wide receivers, Lotzeir Brooks and Derek Meadows also showed promise this spring. Bernard feels they showed they can can come in an make an impact.
“During the spring, the freshmen really showed that they can come in. and they can have an impact,” Bernard said. “So, we just got to keep being there for those guys and coaching them up to make sure that they’re ready when the time comes.”
Alabama’s wideout unit is expected to be one of college football’s best in 2025.
