Give and take has been the motto for the Alabama Crimson Tide's recruiting efforts on Monday.

Following two recruitment flips for Alabama's 2026 recruiting class, the Tide is amid a brutal stretch of losing out on top prospects to other schools.

In the latest of brutal blows for Alabama's recruiting efforts, four-star defensive lineman Titan Davis pledged his allegiance to the Michigan Wolverines over the Crimson Tide, per Hayes Fawcett of On3.

247Sports has Davis as a top 20 defensive lineman in the country and the second-ranked prospect in the state of Missouri. Before his commitment to Michigan, he had only taken two official visits. He toured Tuscaloosa in late May while visiting Michigan this past weekend.

Davis had a monster junior season at DeSmet High School in St. Louis, posting 46 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and nine sacks. DeSmet went 12-2, winning the Missouri Class 6 state title.

Davis' decision to pass on Alabama leaves the 2026 class with just two defensive line commits: three-stars JJ Finch and Kamhariyan Johnson.

Notably, Davis is the fourth player on Monday to verbally commit to a school other than Alabama, despite having it in their top three schools.

Tight end Roman Voss verbally committed to the Minnesota Golden Gophers, with Alabama long considered a contender for his talent. Fellow four-stars Xavier Tiller (Florida State Seminoles) and Khamari Brooks (Georgia Bulldogs) also opted not to commit to Alabama verbally.

Nevertheless, the 2026 recruiting class continues to shape up nicely, especially with two players flipping their commitments to head coach Kalen DeBoer on Monday.

Safety Rihyael Kelley now holds a verbal commitment to Alabama after decommitting from the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, while four-star running back Javari Barnett flipped from the Illinois Fighting Illini to the Tide.
