Alabama football is preparing for year two under Kalen DeBoer in fall camp, and there is a different feel around the program, according to a couple of the team’s leaders.
The Crimson Tide are working to put together a successful season in year two under DeBoer, and Alabama players have put an emphasis on building upon their brotherhood during the offseason.
Alabama wide receiver, Germie Bernard highlighted this brotherhood Thursday when he was asked what he feels is the biggest difference between this season and last season.
“Just the team togetherness that we have,” Bernard said. “I feel like a lot of people are more bought in, more accountability. People understand what their role is, and they’re going to do everything they can to execute in their role that they have.”
The Crimson Tide’s starting center Parker Brailsford has also noticed this trend.
“I feel like last year maybe it was a little mixed,” Brailsford told reporters. “Guys didn’t really know. We had a good amount of transfers. So, I mean, we still do, but there’s a lot of guys that know how to do the right thing, that are pushing the culture towards the right direction. So, I think the culture is definitely a piece. The culture and the brotherhood is definitely a piece that we’ve improved on.”
Alabama is hopeful this change will lead to more success on the field in the future.
