Alabama players that stood out for NFL teams at Pro Day

The University of Alabama had a successful Pro Day as all 32 NFL teams packed into Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Several players enhanced their draft status, including Slade Bolden and D.J. Fluker. Will Anderson and Jaylen Moody were limited Thursday, but Anderson performed his workout at the NFL Scouting Combine. Fluker, Bolden, Byron Young, Eli Ricks, and Henry To’oto’o were among the players that stood out. Fluker, a former All-American offensive tackle, displayed power and explosiveness. He looks incredible after dropping 70 pounds, improving to 330. He tossed players around on the field.

Bolden executed precise routes and did not drop a pass. He looked quick getting in and out of cuts.

A sports hernia injury forced him to be cut by the Baltimore Ravens, but he wants to make an NFL team. Young showcased power, violent hands, and quick footwork in pass-rushing drills. He put together combinations of rush moves to attack at different angles. Ricks is feeling back to himself after a hamstring injury had him not perform at the NFL Scouting Combine.

He flew through the 40-yard dash and looked smooth in on-field defensive back drills. To’oto’o received the biggest cheer from pro scouts during linebacker workouts. He high-pointed passes well and showed strong quickness in the “W” drill.

Alabama could have four players taken in the first round of the NFL Draft.
