Alabama football continues to keep their eyes on USC linebacker commit, Xavier Griffin.
Griffin attends Gainesville High School in Georgia, and he is a 2026 five-star recruit. He is also a native of the state of Alabama with him growing up in Huntsville.
The Crimson Tide’s outside linebacker coach Christian Robinson paid the Alabama native yet another visit Thursday as the Tide continues to prioritize the talented prospect.
Alabama football is just one of the programs interested in the five-star recruit. Georgia remains involved in his recruitment as well with the Bulldogs’ defensive coordinator reportedly visiting Griffin this week as well.
Alabama is recruiting the five-star to play WOLF linebacker under Robinson. The position calls for the linebacker to be effective at getting to the quarterback while rushing from the edge, play sideline to sideline and drop back and coverage to defend the pass in certain situations.
Griffin fits this role perfectly.
