Ryan Williams burst onto the college football scene, cementing himself as one of the best wide receivers in the nation during his freshman season with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
The 17-year-old helped Alabama finish the 2024 college football season with a 9-4 record and a 5-3 mark in SEC play.
Following the Crimson Tide's 2024 season, finishing the year as the No. 11 team in the College Football Playoff rankings, Williams took to social media to share a few photos from the season as well as his personal life.
"Destined for Greatness," Williams captioned the post.
During the 2024 college football season, Williams scored eight touchdowns and recorded 865 receiving yards on 48 receptions. Williams led the Crimson Tide in total receiving touchdowns and receiving yards as a freshman.
Williams originally committed to Alabama as the No. 3 wide receiver and No. 4 overall prospect in the nation, per 247Sports.
The Alabama native was named the Gatorade Player of the Year during his sophomore season in high school, becoming the first player in state history to do so. He was also named Alabama Mr. Football at 15 years old, the youngest player in state history.
Coming out of high school, Williams was listed as a five-star prospect on every recruiting site, including 247Sports, Rivals, ESPN and On3 Sports.
