At Clemson, recruiting is the clear focus for head coach Dabo Swinney. Swinney famously does not like the new transfer portal in college football, so much so that he refuses to use it to upgrade the Tigers’ roster. With Clemson currently 8-2, it seems like Swinney and the Tigers are going to be just fine, but to continue their current success and get back to the late 2010's run, Amare Adams and the 2025 recruiting class will have to progress quickly to make an impact on the field.
Listed at just under 6’4’’ and weighing 290 lbs., five-star defensive lineman Amare Adams will look to make an immediate impact. With his build and skillset, Adams, who received an invite to the Navy All-American Bowl, can be a great rusher in both pass and run situations.
Amare Adams holds great pursuit of the ball and follows up with tremendous hit power. He is a textbook tackler when needed, and his awareness, paired with his size, is a real asset as he’s able to knock down passes in the backfield. Adams can shed blocks with ease, but that’s also against high-school competition. Through three years of varsity football, Amare Adams has tallied 184 tackles, 30 tackles for loss, and 11 sacks. Adams has a great foundation, and he should develop into a possible first-round pick.
Amare Adams is a three-sport athlete, playing basketball and participating in track and field events.
Adams held 15 offers from P4 schools but chose the Tigers over schools like Alabama, Auburn, and Ohio State.
At 5’11 and 200 lbs., four-star safety Tae Harris has a nice build and should contribute to the Tigers. In coverage, Harris is patient and great at reading the quarterback, which allows him to get interceptions. When he gets the ball, Tae Harris has great speed and can run anything back for six. Harris also has a great understanding of angles, which allows him to get into the backfield for stops or prevent touchdowns downfield.
On top of these skills, Harris is a sound tackler, making sure to get lower than the ball carrier to bring him down. This allows him to deliver big hits, a skill that is sure to be useful in the ACC. Through his four-year varsity career, Harris has tallied 175 tackles, 111 solo tackles, six tackles for loss, two interceptions, and five forced fumbles. Hard-hitting safeties are always useful, so Dabo Swinney should have fun with Tae Harris.
Harris is a two-sport athlete who also runs track and intends to compete at the collegiate level beginning next spring.
Harris held 21 offers but chose Clemson over schools like Colorado, Florida, and Georgia.
Listed at 6’ even and 193 lbs., Gideon Davidson holds a strong, solid build as a running back. Davidson is quick and elusive, which is a great skill to go along with his build. Gideon Davidson, a selection at the NFL’s Next Ones event at the Super Bowl, tallied 4,315 rushing yards, 71 rushing touchdowns, 152 receiving yards, three receiving touchdowns, and only one fumble in 389 carries while averaging 11.1 yards per carry in only his final two high school seasons.
On special teams, Davidson added nine return touchdowns via kickoffs and two from punt returns in that same span. As a freshman, Davidson added 1,241 yards and 19 touchdowns. Impressive stats and a dynamic skillset could help Gideon Davidson land in the NFL if he continues to impress at the collegiate level.
Gideon Davidson also ran track in high school, posting a 10.69 100-meter.
Davidson held 20 offers but chose the Tigers over schools like Michigan, Notre Dame, and hometown Liberty.
Gideon will be representing the Washington Commanders & LCA FB at the Nike/NFL event the day before the Super Bowl. He is one of 32 high school football players picked for The Next Ones event. @LCABulldogsFB @clemson_bias @ClemsonInsider @ClemsonFB @MaxPreps @ChadSimmons_ pic.twitter.com/EHGcDBQzKh
