ANN ARBOR — When Arizona State transfer portal lineman LaDarius Henderson first committed to the Maize and Blue, he had a simple goal in mind: lead the Wolverines to a National Championship. After months of work, national media narratives, and more, that goal was finally accomplished on Monday when Michigan downed Washington 34-13 in the title game. Now, with many accomplishments under his belt at the college level, the Michigan football star officially declared for the NFL Draft and accepted his Senior Bowl invite.

Michigan football star LaDarius Henderson declares for NFL Draft after National Championship win

While LaDarius Henderson was a guard at Arizona State, he came to Michigan football and started at tackle for most of the 2023-24 season — an impressive transition, especially given how highly regarded the Wolverines’ offensive line is.

During Henderson’s lone season with Michigan football, he was a first-team All-Big Ten selection, a Big Ten Champion, a National Champion, and more. He appeared in 12 games for the Wolverines in 2023-24, making eight starts at left tackle, including in the National Title Game against No. 2 Washington.

After officially accepting his invite to the Senior Bowl this year, LaDarius Henderson made his intentions to decalre for the NFL Draft known on Friday — just a few days after winning the national title. His announcement is below.
