Arch Manning Has Blunt Message About NFL Draft Buzz

Arch Manning has not even taken a single snap as the Texas Longhorns starting quarterback and he's already being asked about his NFL Draft position.

The 21-year-old quarterback rightfully ignored any noise around the draft because he's super focused on the upcoming season for the Longhorns.

Talking to the media during a visit to the Manning Passing Academy in New Orleans, the Longhorns QB addressed predictions around his NFL Draft.

He bluntly said, "I really don't pay much attention to anyone (or) what they think, besides my coaches, my parents, and some close friends that will tell me the truth. But, I'm not worried about what other people think. I'm just going to go out there and have fun. Play my game."

Manning has not declared his intentions around the draft at all. Still, that will not stop analysts and insiders around college football from predicting where he'll land. Multiple 2026 mock drafts see him as a top prospect.

CBS' way-too-early mock draft ranked him as the number one player to go off the board. One month later, they released one where Arch Manning does not declare for the draft

So it is clear that the draft conversation is already centered around the 3rd generation QB who has not yet started his first game as a starter for the Texas Longhorns.

This is not new. The 21-year-old quarterback has experienced the spotlight since he was a child. In fact, he's seen most of the quarterbacks he idolizes play live before they were household names.

Talking about quarterbacks whom he learns from outside his family, Arch said, "I watch a lot of Joe Burrow and Josh Allen. Those are my guys. Obviously, Mahomes."

He even recalled Allen playing in Wyoming for the Manning Passing Academy and how Allen threw a 75-yard bomb in front of him.

So the Longhorns QB has seen up close and personal how players in his position develop and how they conduct themselves.

Thus, whatever stance he takes on the NFL draft issue, he'll play it close to his chest and it looks like the world will only get to know once he's completely made up his mind.

Till then, college football world will keep speculating.
