The Texas Longhorns are currently preparing for the quarterfinal round of the first-ever 12-team College Football Playoff, set to face the Arizona State Sun Devils.
Before the Longhorns take the field on Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET, a few Texas stars met with the media to speak on the upcoming matchup.
Backup quarterback Arch Manning was one of the few Texas players to speak on the game, but what caught the attention of fans online were his comments on the transfer portal.
Manning has been rumored to be hitting the transfer portal after the 2024 college football season, in search of a playing opportunity, but he quickly shot that down.
On Monday, Manning mentioned that he has "no plans" of entering the portal and will ultimately stick with the Longhorns.
"I mean, I really have no plans on entering the portal or anything," Manning said, per Rivals. "So I don’t really know about it, about all the windows and everything."

Manning has served as the backup quarterback for the Longhorns since joining the program in 2023.
He originally committed to Texas as the No. 1 player in the 2023 class, out of Isidore Newman High School in New Orleans, La., per 247Sports.
While Manning has served as the backup to the Longhorns, he's seen playing time in 2024.
Manning started two games for Texas and was involved in a couple of offensive packages during the team's run to the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff.
So far this season, Manning has thrown for nine touchdowns and 939 yards with a 67.8 completion percentage.
Texas starting quarterback Quinn Ewers is expected to declare for the 2025 NFL Draft, following three years as the starter for the Longhorns. During the 2024 season, Ewers threw for 26 touchdowns and 2,867 yards with a 66.5 completion percentage.
