There's a new starting quarterback in Austin, Texas. The Arch Manning era has begun on the Forty Acres.

Manning has been the story of the college football offseason with several media appearances and multiple outlets predicting Manning to lead a national title contender in 2025.

The new presumed Texas Longhorns starter stoked offseason excitement with a hype video on social media. Manning said the following in a video that fired up the Texas fanbase.

"Playing for Texas was always the goal. There's something about this place. This city, the Forty Acres, we've got a lotta fight in us. And you can feel it everywhere and in everything we do. Because at this place, the standard is the standard. We've got a (mess) around and find out mentality, because this is Texas. And we were born with Texas fight. Hook 'em."

That the third-generation star from the Manning quarterback tree chose the Longhorns over the rest of college football still fascinates Texas fans. Even so, Arch always intended to wear the burnt orange. The video featured a younger Manning expressing his desire to play at Texas.

The first game of the Manning era is perhaps the most difficult regular season matchup of the 2025 season. The Longhorns open with the Ohio State Buckeyes on Aug. 30. The fiery Texas quarterback will look to make a statement in his first 2025 start.
