Arch Manning Sends Rare 2-Word Message to Teammates

Arch Manning summed up his first summer as the Texas Longhorns starting quarterback with an Instagram post. It captures the diverse ride he's had over the off season. And he aptly captioned it, "Eventful summer."

His teammates, who have been with him throughout this journey, aren't going to let him go easily though. After he posted the summer highlights, Longhorns players jumped into the comment section to show their support.

Texas DB Michael Taaffe quipped referring to Manning's now-famous t-shirt, "Dopamine Dealer." On the other hand wide receiver Ryan Wingo, who recently hosted the 21-year-old quarterback in his neighborhood commented, "Chilll 16".

Manning had a critical off-season since he's preparing to take over Quinn Ewers' role this year. Not only did he need to train harder than ever but he also needed to develop a real connection with his teammates.

It looks like the 21-year-old quarterback has been able to accomplish that in the last few months. With goals to win the SEC championship and the national championship, Manning has understood the expectations from the quarterback of a powerhouse like the Longhorns.

Last year, despite outshining other teams in the conference, they lost to the eventual champs in the semi-finals. They also lost out on the SEC title to Georgia Bulldogs.

This year, Steve Sarkisian and his team can't come up short. They have their no. 1 guy in Arch and the gaps in the offensive line and the defensive line are being dealt with by bringing in portal talent as well as ramping up the recruitment for these positions.

Thus, Manning is getting the supporting cast required to get to the promised land. Now it is up to him to show the college football world that he can stand on his own, apart from the name on his jersey.
