Archie Manning Names Iconic NFL Franchise That He Wants to Draft Arch Manning

College football fans simply cannot get enough of Texas Longhorns signal caller Arch Manning, and NFL fans seem to be already excited about him as well.

He hails from a family that has produced three of the most iconic quarterbacks in the sport's history, and is expected to follow in their footsteps. While the youngest Manning is currently focused on helping the No. 2 Longhorns take down the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC title, some are already thinking about his NFL future.

It is a bit of an inconceivable thought, considering he has yet to take over as the program's starter. However, his grandfather, Archie Manning, was recently asked by a content creator about which team he'd like to see his grandson play for, and his answer will certainly turn some heads

"I hope he'll play three years in Texas," Manning said. "I hope he'll play three more years...Funny, nobody's ever asked me that. Right off the bat if somebody asked me I'd say (Dallas) Cowboys."

While it's unclear how many years Arch Manning plans on staying in Austin, a recent mock draft by Walter Football projected he'd be the top pick in the 2026 draft. However, there are questions surrounding the likeliness that he would just be the starter for one year at Texas before deciding to leave.

Manning has been backing up third-year starter Quinn Ewers for two years now, but gave the college football world a taste of what's to come earlier in the year when Ewers missed a couple of games with an oblique injury. On the year, Manning has thrown for 939 yards and nine touchdowns to just two picks while also showcasing his ability to create with his legs.

On top of rushing for four touchdowns this season, Manning was also unveiled as the team's wildcat quarterback in their Week 14 win over No. 20 Texas A&M.

It's unclear what his role will be down the stretch as Texas looks to make a title push, but many fans and analysts, like Fox's Joel Klatt, have been speculating that he could end up taking over for Ewers before the season's end.

The former five-star out of New Orleans has handled the situation like a professional throughout the year, and will likely just wait patiently for his name to be called.

The SEC title game will kick off at 4:00 PM ET and air on ABC this Saturday.

As for Manning's NFL future, that still seems like a ways away.
