Arizona State Lands Former Cincinatti Defensive Tackle Justin Wodtly
Albert Cesare / USA TODAY NETWORK

Arizona State has landed a transfer for the second time in the last hour.

This time, Justin Wodtly, a defensive tackle from Cincinnati, announced he would be joining the Sun Devils.

Wodtly is a redshirt senior who played at Cincinnati and finished 2023 with 13 tackles, one and a half tackles for loss, one sack, and three quarterback hits.

Wodtly also had interest from Memphis, Kansas State, Iowa State, and TCU but ultimately chose to join Kenny Dillingham and the Sun Devils. ASU just hired a new defensive line coach in Diron Reynolds last week. Now, ASU has already seen many defensive line commits.

The 6’3, 275-pound defensive tackle was a three-star in the class of 2020 and was a top 90 DT. Wodtly was heavily sought after by Michigan State in that class before ultimately choosing Cincinnati. He joins defensive back Javan Robinson as the first two recruits of the day.
