It was an impressive season for Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo, who ran the ball 293 times for 1,711 yards and 21 touchdowns. He was also effective in the passing game, with 45 receptions, 605 yards and three touchdowns.

All of that combined helped him finish fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting, but now he's set to make the leap to the next level, and like many prospects, Skattebo is attending the NFL scouting combine to showcase his talent in front of every team.

However, it's been reported that he will only participate in the vertical and broad jump, skipping out on other important drills such as the 40-yard dash, 3-cone drill and the shuttle.

Skattebo's decision has been met with strong reactions from fans, who see it as a serious negative for him during the scouting process.

"If you get invited and accept you should sign an agreement to do all drills otherwise don't accept ..." said one comment.

"Guess he doesn’t want his 4.5 to show," said another.

"He’s measurements would be horrible. 5-6 round type numbers," a third added.

A fourth stated, "Dudes a potential day 3 draft pick not doing the combine what has this league become."

"He might as well not do any then. We don’t care bout his vert," a fifth continued.

"That 40 time is def atrocious lol," said another.

It will remain to be seen if this decision affects where Skattebo gets taken in the 2025 NFL Draft, as Pro Football Focus ranks him as the No. 3 running back and the No. 50 player available.
