Arizona State shocked the world and won a Big 12 Championship in the Sun Devils’ first year in the conference, and they’ll be looking to repeat their success in 2025.
Coming off an 11-3 season that was capped off by an instant classic against Texas in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Kenny Dillingham’s squad will hope to get back to the mountaintop again this season, and here’s a look at what stands in their way.

The schedule lines up well for ASU to make a repeat run at a Big 12 title, but we will know if that’s going to happen by mid-October. The nonconference slate is perfectly manageable, though the road trip to Mississippi State could be tricky.
The four-game stretch from Week 4 to Week 8 is going to be the biggest test for this group. Baylor, TCU, Utah, and Texas Tech should all be better than they were in 2024, and if the Sun Devils are going to win the league again, they’ll probably have to win three out of those four.
The hardest single game on the schedule is a Week 10 date at Iowa State, but having it after a two-game home stretch—the latter of which is against Houston—and ahead of a bye week is about as ideal as they could hope for.
