Taylen Green has one ring from his playing days, winning the Mountain West Championship with Boise State during the 2024 season. His ultimate goal at Arkansas is to add another one as the quarterback enters his second season with the Razorbacks. However, Green is already guaranteed to put another ring on in his personal life.
Taking a knee usually means victory formation. This time, Green dropped down to ask his girlfriend to marry him. Green and his significant other, Analisse Batista, announced their engagement on Instagram on Tuesday afternoon. Batista is also an athlete at Arkansas, running the 4×800 for the track team.
Green put together a pretty nice setup for the occasion. A glass heart with roses on the exterior read “Will you marry me?” The two then put on a couple of t-shirts over their nicer clothes, crossing out the words boyfriend and girlfriend. Now, they are fiancés. You can check out the full post from Green and Batista here.
Perfect timing from Green as this portion of the offseason does not have much going on. Spring practice is long gone, and if anything, summer workouts are taking place in Fayetteville. In a few weeks, SEC Media Days will take place — an event you imagine Green will be attending in Atlanta.
Now, there will be some time for him to celebrate with his bride-to-be and all the family involved. A great moment for everyone involved ahead of a critical season for Arkansas.
Earlier in the offseason, ESPN’s Greg McElroy put together his top 10 list of quarterbacks entering the 2025 season. Green was not included, just missing out. But that does not mean McElroy thinks any less of the Arkansas signal caller. In fact, he is quite high on his ability after a fantastic 2024 campaign.
“I think Taylen Green is painfully underrated, like when you think about some of the most naturally gifted players in the sport,” McElroy said on Always College Football. “Like a naturally gifted guy that can run, but a guy that can throw, a guy that looks the part. He’s big, he’s physical, he’s smooth. He had over 3,000 yards passing. He had nearly 3,800 total yards last year, that’s pretty dang impressive. He had 23 touchdowns last year.
