Arkansas got bowl eligible last week with a win over Louisiana Tech, but it’s been struggling a bit on a run of three losses in the last four SEC games, all by double-digits.

But it has a win over Tennessee, it’s having a decent season, and now it has a chance to make this a strong run with a seventh-victory.

Missouri is 8-3, but it’s been a struggle. It needed a miracle to get by Oklahoma, beat a slew of teams that won’t go bowling, and … it’s all good if the Tigers can get to nine wins here, with the possibility of a ten-win campaign after the bowls.

Why Arkansas Will Win

The Missouri offense has been a tad off.

The stats were there against Mississippi State - everyone is rolling the Bulldogs - and the passing game wasn’t bad against South Carolina, but the O went nowhere until late against Oklahoma and got stuffed by Alabama.

It’s different with QB Brady Cook back, but keeping up in any sort of a shootout won’t be easy.

Mizzou is 7-0 when allowing fewer than 200 passing yards, 1-3 when giving up that many or more.

Arkansas has thrown for 200 yards through the air in every game but three, and it won two of those because of the ground game.

Why Missouri Will Win

Arkansas continues to have a turnover problem. It’s usually able to overcome it, but it’s given it up seven times in the last three games and averages two giveaways a game over the last ten.

Yeah, the Hogs should be able to throw well enough to give the Tigers a tough time, but it’s the ground attack that has to be stopped.

Missouri is 8-1 when allowing fewer than 236 yards on the ground. For all the good things the Hogs have done this year - they average almost five yards per carry - the’ve only pushed past 236 against Mississippi State, UAB, and Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Arkansas vs Missouri: Who Will Win?

This should be a bit of a shootout.

The Missouri defense is good enough to hold up in key spots, but Arkansas will be balanced and effective to keep up the pace. What the Hogs won’t do is hold up against the Tiger pass rush that will own third downs.

This should be a blast with the game coming down to the last possession.
