Arquon Bush: 'Natural' Feeling Playing Outside Cornerback
USA TODAY Sports

CINCINNATI — UC cornerback Arquon Bush met with the media on Tuesday ahead of this week's Battle for the Victory Bell against Miami (OH).

Check out some of his notable comments from the session.

On finishing his UC career undefeated against Miami:

Super important this rivalry's been here for a long time, we are on a 15-game winning streak, and we don't want to lose that. We just want to keep the streak going. Just continue playing football, respect the rivalry, and just do what we supposed to do.

On having Ivan Pace Jr.'s Miami knowledge to lean on:

Since week one, Ivan's always been a player you lean on. He's a good player. He makes plays all the time. So I feel like just every week, Ivan's just like a great player. So I feel like we always lean on him like a little bit just because he's been making what? 15 tackles, ten tackles, a game like he's just a great player. So you always lean on like your best players and stuff like that.

On playing boundary corner on the outside again:

Yeah, I'd say it's natural. Corner is corner. Nickel corner, slot corner, boundary corner. I feel like they are all the same. You do everything as you'd do as nickel as a field corner. Backpedal, brake, you do everything so I feel like it's natural.
