Ashanti Cistrunk Sends Message to Fans Ahead of 2024 NFL Draft
USA TODAY Sports

The Ole Miss Rebels are fresh off one of the best seasons in school history, and one of their top defensive playmakers bid the program farewell on Wednesday.

Senior linebacker Ashanti Cistrunk announced his intention to enter the 2024 NFL Draft on his X account on Wednesday, sharing a heartfelt message with Ole Miss fans and the program he leaves behind. You can view his entire message, including thanks given to former head coach Matt Luke and current head coach Lane Kiffin, here.

"Five years ago, I came here with nothing but football on my mind," Cistrunk said. "However, my experiences here have been greater than I could have ever imagined. These years have shaped my life forever.

"I've grown so much spiritually, physically and mentally. Ultimately, I have fulfilled what I came here to do. With that being said, I have made the decision to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft. #SipMade #SipStayed."

The Louisville, Miss., native finishes his Ole Miss career having appeared in 61 games over the course of four years, and he tallied 208 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. He also hauled in two interceptions, one of which came with a 28-yard return in 2023 against the Arkansas Razorbacks.
