GREEN BAY — Star running back from Arizona State Cam Skattebo is making his NFL dreams come true, being selected by the New York Giants with the No. 105 overall pick in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft on Saturday.
Skattebo will be joining Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Devin Singletary in the backfield, bringing a blend of power, speed, and receiving ability — the former Sun Devil is exactly what the Giants are looking for as they revamp their offense and push for success.
The 5-foot-11, 215 pound Skattebo was a workhorse for ASU, racking up 1,711 total yards, 605 of which were receiving, and 21 touchdowns last season. He contributed as a runner and receiver adding a key component as a dynamic offensive threat to the team’s success in the Big-12.
New York has been aggressive throughout the draft, selecting Penn State edge Abdul Carter with the No. 3 overall pick, Old Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart at No. 25, and Toledo defensive tackle Darius Alexander at No. 65. Adding Skattebo to their draft selection gives offensive coordinator Mike Kafka another weapon as the Giants aim to rebuild their offense around young talent.
Skattebo becomes the first of five Arizona State players to be selected in this year’s draft. With his tough, all-purpose skill set, he will now have the chance to make an impact in the NFL the same way he did with the Sun Devils — by making himself simply too valuable to keep off the field.
