ASU’s Starting QB Trenton Bourguet Carted Off Field Early in Utah
Rob Gray-USA TODAY Sports

Trenton Bourguet, the starting QB for Arizona State, was carted off the field early in the first quarter against Utah. He had only thrown three passes for 1 yard before going down. Jacob Conover is coming in to replace him.

Bourguet has held down the fort for Arizona State, with standout Freshman Jaden Rashada being injured for most of the season. He has been excellent at throwing for over 300 yards in games against Cal, Colorado, and Washington State.

Jacob Conover entered the game against Fresno State early in the year when Bourguet and Rashada were injured. He went 6/16 for 89 yards in the loss. He threw two picks and didn’t record a touchdown.

The injuries keep piling up for Arizona State as they are only playing with six o-linemen.

It has been an absolutely disastrous start for Arizona State’s defense, who have allowed two touchdowns to Utah early as Bryson Barnes is eating apart Brian Ward’s unit.
