The Auburn Tigers ended the season with a 5-7 overall record and a poor 2-6 showing within the SEC. They weren't eligible for a bowl game for the second time in three years after going 5-7 in 2022.
Of course, it's not the season they'd hoped for, but now it's time to build for 2025 and hopefully see some improvement.
One area that many teams have used to get better is the transfer portal, but in Auburn's case, they just took a big hit.
On Saturday, it was announced that true freshman quarterback Walker White would be entering the portal.

This could prove to be a huge blow for the Tigers' future, as coming out of high school, in the class of 2024, 247Sports had White ranked as the No. 5 quarterback and No. 41 overall player in the country.
He did see the field this year, but as a true freshman, it was very minimal, completing 2-of-5 passes for 18 yards.
Of course, part of the reason for White's announcement could be that Auburn received a commitment from transfer quarterback Jackson Arnold on Saturday.
Arnold, a sophomore, completed 154-of-246 passes for 1,421 yards, 12 touchdowns and 3 interceptions for the Oklahoma Sooners in 2024.
