Auburn is just two wins away from reaching a bowl game in the 2025 college football season, coming in at 4-4 under head coach Hugh Freeze.
Auburn snapped a four-game losing streak on Saturday with a 33-24 win over Arkansas. The Tigers were down 21-10 at halftime, but held the Razorbacks to just three points in the second half and put up 23 over their own.
While the win was a big relief for Auburn fans, it came at a cost, as a key player suffered an injury. Receiver Cam Coleman suffered an ankle injury in the win and was listed questionable on the SEC injury report.
However, Freeze revealed Coleman was on track to play, via On3's Pete Nakos.
Coleman scored the only offensive touchdown for Auburn in the win, on a 23-yard pass from quarterback Jackson Arnold. The receiver suffered the injury during the first quarter, but eventually returned to the field after being evaluated.
He ended with 27 receiving yards and one touchdown on the day. The sophomore receiver leads Auburn with 440 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
The Tigers played two quarterbacks in the win, as Arnold threw an 89-yard pick-six to Arkansas before the end of the first half, and was benched for Stanford transfer Ashton Daniels.
Daniels had 77 passing yards on 6-of-8 completed passes.
Auburn takes on a struggling Kentucky pass defense and could use Coleman to its advantage. The Wildcats currently allow the second-most passing yards per game in the SEC, at 253.
Coleman was Auburn's best commit from the 2024 class, as a former five-star recruit. He was the No. 4 overall prospect and No. 2 wideout in his class. He is an Alabama native, hailing from Phenix City, out of Central High School.
Auburn and Kentucky kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
