The Auburn Tigers secured a massive commitment for their 2026 recruiting class on Thursday night.
The Tigers got a commitment from five-star safety Bralan Womack. He committed to the Tigers over the Ohio State Buckeyes, Texas A&M Aggies, and Florida Gators.
Auburn was leading the pack for Womack heading into his announcement day and was able to finish the job on Thursday.
Womack is the top safety recruit in the nation and the second-best recruit in his home state (Mississippi), per 247Sports composite rankings. He is also the No. 15 overall recruit in the nation.
Womack is Auburn's top recruit in the 2026 recruiting class and moved the program's recruiting class up to No. 35 in the country, per 247Sports. He is Auburn's only five-star recruit in the class.
This is a huge win for head coach Hugh Freeze and the Tigers before they start the 2025 college football season. This year could be a make-or-break year for Freeze since he has an 11-14 record through two seasons at the helm.
Auburn will open the 2025 college football season against Baylor on Friday, August 29. It will be a good test against a Big 12 opponent to open the year before Auburn plays Ball State and South Alabama in the following two weeks.
The Tigers will open SEC play against the Oklahoma Sooners on September 20.
Kickoff for Friday's game will be at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
