Week 13 of the college football season had some major upsets. One of them was Auburn outlasting No. 15 Texas A&M in a quadruple-overtime thriller.
The two teams went into overtime tied up at 31 as Ian Vachon hit a 29-yard field goal for Auburn. Both teams scored in the first and second overtimes, resulting in a 41-41 tie as Randy Bond hit a field goal for Texas A&M.
Auburn ended up winning the game as Payton Thorne converted the game-winning two-point conversion to KeAndre Lambert-Smith.
It was a wild finish, and the Auburn football X account gave a shoutout to Kirk Herbstreit after the game.
"You're welcome to The Plains anytime, @KirkHerbstreit."
During ESPN's College GameDay, Herbstreit was the only one to pick Auburn to win the game.
Even more surprising was Herbstreit's insanely quick reply.
"Great win," Herbstreitn replied one minute after Auburn's post.
Great win! https://t.co/YfaCiMpkhs

It was a quick reaction from Herbstreit, somehow, even after a travel-filled week. Herbstreit called the Thursday Night Football game in Cleveland, Ohio, and was at College GameDay in Columbus on Saturday morning before going to Norman for the Alabama-Oklahoma game.
For Texas A&M, it is a crushing loss, although a win over No. 3 Texas would do wonders for the Aggies College Football Playoff chance with the winner of that game going to the SEC Championship.
Auburn is now one win away from becoming bowl-eligible, although they finish the year against Alabama.
