Transfer Barion Brown talked about his potential in the LSU offense with Garrett Nussmeier. He said, “Oh man, Nuss is a gunslinger, a leader and a great guy on and off the field. The bonding time and stuff off the field helps on the field. [I'm going to] just continue to be the best I can be and try to help this team as best I can. And keep my best foot forward.”

Brown also spoke about the chemistry and connection he has with Garrett Nussmeier. He said, “It’s great. He’s a great cook too, he invited me over and cooked for us. All the stuff people don’t see is really effective when we get on the field. [We are just going to] continue to build team chemistry with him. Just get out there, playing football and having fun.”

Brown also explained how he felt about coming to play football at LSU. He said, “I’m feeling really blessed for the new opportunities. My family’s happy and I’m happy. [I’m] just keeping my best foot forward. Going out there every day ready to work and just having fun.”

Brown is a transfer wide receiver and kickoff specialist who played three years at Kentucky. Brown caught at least one pass in 36 out of the 37 games he played in Kentucky. Before coming to Kentucky, he was a five star prospect from Pearl-Cohn High School in Nashville. Brown also led his track and field team to back to back championships in the 100- and 200- meter dash.
