UC quarterback Ben Bryant announced he is transferring to Northwestern for his final season of eligibility.
The Bearcats' 2022 starter came back to the program and beat out Evan Prater for the starting job.
He suffered a major injury at the end of the season that was projected to keep him out of spring football activities, but he fought back to create a true competition with Emory Jones.
Yet, it wasn't quite enough to leap Jones, so Bryant is headed just north of the Windy City.
Bryant passed for 2,732 yards (50th nationally), 21 TDs (44th), and 7 interceptions (51st) last season.
