The USC Trojans have adopted the mantra and slogan “The pLAce To Be.” It has become the war cry of the program and is used to represent the great offering that USC and Los Angeles have.
Apparently, the slogan is so good that a Big 12 school felt the need to use it as well.
In a recent social post, the Texas Tech Football account posted a video highlighting the upcoming recruiting weekend with the words “The Place To Be.”

The reaction to the video was actually pretty hilarious. Instead of Tech fans rejoicing over what was to come, and representing this newfound war cry, the response was that of USC fans curious where the Tech creative team may have found such a cool slogan.

Ironically, USC Trojans head coach Lincoln Riley got his coaching start at Texas Tech. He played quarterback at Tech and began coaching immediately after.
He was the WR coach under the late Mike Leach from 2007-2009 before getting the offensive coaching job at East Carolina.
Perhaps they just missed Coach Riley, and this was a way to pay homage.
Now this is all in good fun, but I think it is safe to say, USC is THE pLAce To Be.
