Bill Belichick Addresses Whether His Girlfriend is a Distraction or Not

A name that continues to pop up in headlines is North Carolina’s Bill Belichick, but not for the typical football-first reasons.

Belichick remains in the spotlight, largely because of his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, whom the rumor mill continues to target.

After countless awkward moments, including several NFL Executives calling out Bill Belichick, UNC hiring a PR agent to help out the football staff, the reveal that Hudson’s mother runs a sex shop, and much more, things have been a little confusing in the Belichick household lately.

In a recent conversation with Ryan Clark on The Pivot Podcast, Belichick discussed whether he sees Hudson as a distraction and pushed back at the negative press associated with her name.

“That’s what I do as I stay focused on football and some of the other opportunities that come along,” Belichick said.“You know, Jordon looks at those and can dig into them a little bit deeper, but really, what she does helps me spend my time on football, and that’s what’s important to me.”

Belichick then clarified what Hudson actually does, saying, “Well, nothing with North Carolina, that would be number one. It would be personal opportunities, which could be a speaking thing. It could be an appearance on this, or talk about that, or somebody wants, whatever it happens to be, autographs or that type of thing. And so, you know, she’ll kind of help organize that for me. And one of the first things that came out was when North Carolina sent me emails saying, like, these people want to talk to these people and talk to these people want to talk, these people want to talk to, I sent back in the email: ‘Can you please copy Jordon on these requests?’” 

Lastly, Belichick took a shot at Hard Knocks, a show that Hudson was rumored to shut down in the case of Belichick and the Tar Heels, saying, “And the ‘Hard Knocks’ thing, you know, like, just for the record, ‘Hard Knocks’ is training camp, and we’re not training camp. We’re just not. That’s not what we are.”
