The spring has come and gone with the Florida Gators with the biggest news throughout the spring revolving around the health of quarterback DJ Lagway. Now, that's big news in itself, but it always felt like something that would get resolved and he's already begun throwing again.
The other element that was prevalent was the Gators not having any off the field issues. After having many years of those occuring far too often, it finally felt like the Gators had the majority of them behind the program.
Unfortunately for Napier, things didn't stay quiet for long as cornerback Dijon Johnson was arrested on Friday, May 2nd, acccording to 247 Sports' Zach Goodall. The charges aren't nothing either, with four of them in total according to the website of the Hillsborough County Sherrif's Office:
Goodell also reported that he was arrested near midnight at 11:30 ET on Friday, booked two hours later and released on bond Sunday, May 4th.

Johnson was a pivotal player on defense this past season. He played in all 13 games, staring five of them with all of his starts being over the last six games. He played 550 total snaps with 498 of them coming at outside cornerback.
During the past season, he was productive with 29 tackles (19 solo), two passes defended, 2.0 tackles for loss, and one fumble recovery. He was projected to be a starter for the Gators this upcoming season on the outside. With this arrest, that could be in jeopardy.
This is a developing story and we will keep you updated.
