Florida Gators quarterback DJ Lagway has been synonymous with injuries during his time in Gainesville. That has continued heading into fall camp, as Lagway is dealing with a calf injury. This comes after Lagway didn't throw at all during spring practice due to shoulder and hernia issues.

Throughout the summer, Lagway worked on his throwing, something that head coach Billy Napier referenced during his press availability on Monday morning.

"I think it was good for you guys to see him,'' said Napier about Saturday's practice. "I think you guys are probably a little more relieved than anybody else. We've been watching the guy work all summer. Obviously, [he] had a little bit of a setback. But I think he's on the right track, and really threw in public the other day, and everybody's all excited about that, but the guy's been working well all summer.

"Hopefully, he'll be able to do more and more as we go here day to day."

Napier mentioning that he's been working well all summer is an important thing when it comes to the discussion of Lagway. He's struggled to stay healthy, but the process he's gone through this offseason has been working thus far. Now, the biggest thing will be to continue ramping up his throwing and getting chemistry built with his receiving corps.

If lagway is healthy all season, the Gators are in great hands to make an impact in both the SEC and College Football Playoff.
