Dante Moore played his first season of college football at UCLA, where he threw for 1,610 yards and 11 touchdowns.
It was an up-and-down season for Moore that ended up with him getting benched, but the talent is there.
Moore was the number five player in the 2023 class according to 247Sports composite rankings.
People will be quick to worry about the future for Moore with him not having the best 2023 season, but you have to remember he was a true freshman.
Moore entered the transfer portal and will look for a new school to call home.
Despite not having the best true freshman season, many top schools will still be interested in the former top-five player in the 2023 class.
According to Bleacher Report, one of these schools is Auburn, as they listed Auburn as a "top landing spot" for the talented transfer quarterback.
What would be surprising about Auburn going after Moore is that Hugh Freeze has Walker White already committed in the 2024 class and he seems to be the future.
Moore would have a bunch of eligibility left if he transferred to Auburn, which is why I feel like Coach Freeze will go after a more experienced veteran starter.
While it doesn't seem likely to me that Auburn would push hard after Moore and pay all of the NIL money, Bleacher Report believes the Tigers need to be monitored in this race.
