BOOM: Michigan Football Lands Big Ten Transfer

Today, just days before the 2024 Rose Bowl Game between Michigan football and Alabama on January 1, the Wolverines landed a new Big Ten transfer: Josh Priebe out of Northwestern football. Seeing as Michigan needs some replacement guards for 2024, Jim Harbaugh’s second transfer portal commit of the cycle addresses a major need.

Michigan football addresses major team need with transfer portal commit on Thursday

Michigan football has been winning Big Ten titles, appearing in the College Football Playoff, and beating Ohio State annually over the past few seasons — largely because the Wolverines dominate the line of scrimmage. As the team approaches yet another CFP berth, this time against Alabama in the Rose Bowl, Jim Harbaugh addressed a major team need for the 2024 roster on Thursday morning.

Josh Priebe, a former three-star guard, announced this morning that he has committed to the University of Michigan football program — he has one year of eligibility remaining after spending four seasons in the Big Ten thus far with the Northwestern football program.

Priebe, a native of Niles, MI, joins Michigan football as an unranked Big Ten transfer, previously being pinned as the No. 12 offensive lineman and the No. 15 player in Michigan for the 2020 recruiting class.
