The game will be televised on ESPN2.
Kansas is coming off a 5–7 season in 2024 and returns veteran quarterback Jalon Daniels, who threw for 2,454 yards and 14 touchdowns while adding 439 rushing yards and six scores. Daniels enters his final season aiming to lead the Jayhawks to their third bowl appearance since 2022.
Missouri, meanwhile, is navigating a quarterback competition among Sam Horn, Penn State transfer Beau Pribula, and freshman Matt Zollers. Regardless of who starts under center, the Tigers are expected to lean heavily on transfer running back Ahmad Hardy, who rushed for 1,351 yards and 13 touchdowns as a freshman at Louisiana-Monroe in 2024.
With both teams seeking early-season momentum, the renewal of this historic rivalry promises to deliver a compelling contest on the national stage.
Expect a full house at Faurot Field and another step forward in the renewal of a Midwestern feud that never really died.
