The Michigan Wolverines and their head coach Sherrone Moore sent quarterbacks Bryce Underwood and Jadyn Davis onto the field for the team's 2025 Spring Game in Ann Arbor this past April, giving fans the chance to watch two former five-star prospects in action at the college level.

The exhibition game was won by Underwood's team as the former Belleville, Michigan high school superstar showed off a strong arm, explosive running skills, and precision accuracy on many of his throws.

It was far from a perfect effort as Underwood lofted several passes up for grabs that may have been intercepted during a regular season game.

On Tuesday, Sporting News released its latest Top 25 list of the best quarterbacks in college football, with Underwood making it alongside fellow former top high school prospect Arch Manning among others.

Underwood was ranked 25th out of 25 players on the list Tuesday as Sporting News made a few predictions.

"We rarely put freshman QBs on this list, but exceptions can be made. Underwood –the top quarterback recruit in the 2025 recruiting class – is the projected favorite to win the starting job at Michigan," the publication wrote, adding that his 12-for-26 performance in the Spring Game could hint at a learning curve in his first regular season on campus.

"The Wolverines will live with that – especially knowing Michigan QBs combined for 12 TDs and 13 interceptions last season.

"Look for Underwood to emerge by the second half of the season," they added, later ranking Arch Manning of Texas first ahead of Cade Klubnik of Clemson.
