The Bulldogs start the New Year right by adding consensus 3-star cornerback Brylan Lanier. This will be Laniers' third power-5 school after initially signing with Alabama and redshirting.
The Alabama native then transferred to Indiana and played sparingly in his sole season for the Hoosiers. The 6-1 185 pounder appeared in 11 games for the Hoosiers and collected 12 tackles, including a sack.
After his lone season in Bloomington, Lanier opted to go to Junior College football powerhouse East Mississippi. Lanier helped the Lions return to the JUCO National Championship by making 60 tackles, three and a half sacks, two forced fumbles, and an interception.
Now, the Bulldogs have four EMCC Lions in their 2024 class. Lanier will join his defensive teammates Tyler Woodard, Ashun Shepphard, and Marcus Ross.
