Buckeyes DL Tyleik Williams Staying at Ohio State

There have been rumors that multiple Ohio State Buckeyes are considering a return for the 2024 season.

And on Wednesday, the first domino in that process fell, with standout defensive lineman Tyleik Williams announcing his intentions to return to Ohio State for his fourth season with the program.

Williams made his announcement on X.

First off I just want to thank the man upstairs for all that he's done with me and the journey he has put me on. Although it's been a rocky one with lots of trials and tribulations, I enjoyed every piece of it.

Next I wanna thank my family for being there every step of the way throughout this whole process and being my motivation to keep going.

Lastly, wanna thank Ohio State for everything, the best band and the best fans in the world. Thanks for bringing me in with open arms and allowing me to put on that jersey and represent you all. I'll never forget the memories | have created. That's because..... | AIN'T DONE MAKING THEM YET YEAR 4 LETS DO IT !

projected as a Day 2 pick, Williams had 54 tackles, five pass deflections, 10 tackles for loss, three sacks and a forced fumble in 2023. He has nine sacks and 19 tackles for loss in his career.

Alongside Mike Hall Jr., who already declared for the draft, Williams was one-half of one of the best defensive tackle duos in the Big Ten.
