Miss Peggy, a legendary Colorado Buffaloes fan, turned 100 this week, and the celebration wasn’t just about her age—it was a testament to her unwavering loyalty to the program. Deion Sanders, or Coach Prime, called the moment “epic,” showing how her story has inspired players, fans, and the entire community.

Miss Peggy reminisced about decades of Buffaloes history, recalling iconic games like the “Miracle at Michigan” and victories over Nebraska and Oklahoma. “There are quite a few [favorite games], not just one,” she shared, her memories painting a vivid picture of the program’s glorious past. Her dedication has spanned generations, earning her unparalleled respect.

Coach Sanders was deeply moved by Miss Peggy’s presence during last Saturday’s game. “I had to turn away from the screen because I was getting ready to cry,” he admitted, highlighting her profound impact. He described her as sharp and full of life, adding, “She knows you, me, everybody in this room—she ain’t no joke, man.”

Coach Prime also had a huge birthday card signed by the team and staff. The special birthday gift for Peggy was identical jerseys, for her and her twin sister Betty with the number 100, symbolizing her 100th birthday.

Miss Peggy’s message to Buffs fans? Gratitude. “It’s been unbelievable,” she said, praising Sanders for uniting the community.

As the season continues, let’s honor her milestone by embracing her passion: unwavering loyalty to the Colorado Buffaloes.
