BYU added depth at wide receiver on Tuesday. Weber State transfer Reggie Frischknecht committed to the Cougars, per an announcement on social media.
Frischknecht was at Snow College for the past two seasons and put up outstanding numbers. He racked up 38 receptions for 740 yards and 14 touchdowns, averaging 67.3 receiving yards per game and 19.5 yards per catch. He was Snow's leading receiver before signing with Weber State back in February. After a short stint, he entered the transfer portal and made his way to BYU.
At 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds, Frischknecht has great size for 50/50 balls and isn't afraid to get physical. He also has decent speed to outwork opposing defenses, but his best attribute is yards after catch.
Frischknecht will have three years of eligibility remaining with a redshirt season available
BYU lost Keelan Marion and Darius Lassiter to the transfer portal and needed a new receiver. They're likely not done adding and will see who's available.
