Georgia Tech has added its seventh player from the transfer portal today.
Jordan Brown, an offensive lineman transfer from Charlotte, committed to the Yellow Jackets this afternoon.
Brown was a redshirt freshman for the Charlotte 49ers in 2022 after redshirting his first year on campus in 2021. He has three years of eligibility left. This past season, Brown played 62 offensive snaps over the course of the season including 24 snaps against Maryland in week two for Charlotte. All of his snaps on offense were at the left tackle spot.
He also played 20 snaps on special teams, all on the field goal and PAT units.
Auburn, Missouri, Syracuse, and Bowling Green were some of the other offers for Brown.
This is the first offensive lineman that Georgia Tech has added through the portal this offseason. Last season, Georgia Tech added quite a few offensive linemen and guys like Corey Robinson II and Pierce Quick started multiple games for Georgia Tech last season.
The offensive line was the weakest point on the offense last season and really struggled. I think Brown will compete for playing time or at least provide depth up front for the Yellow Jackets.
