Clemson Signs its 2026 Recruiting Class
USA Today Sports

The early signing period is here for the class of 2026. It’s one of the most exciting times on the college football calendar. High School players make their verbal commitments official by signing their National Letter of Intent. This is when fans get a glimpse of the future for their favorite programs.

For Clemson, the future is looking bright as Dabo Swinney and staff bring in a much-improved class compared to last year. The Tigers’ 2025 recruiting class was ranked 23rd in the nation according to ON3. Their 2026 class ranks 19th in the country and fourth in the ACC, behind Florida State, Miami, and North Carolina.

Clemson is ranked in the top 20 with no five-star commits, but a plethora of four-stars. Let’s take a look at the players who have officially signed to Clemson for 2026, and the standouts who could make a quick impact.

Clemson 2026 Signees

Early Signing Day Recap

The Tigers cleaned up well on early signing day, with all 19 of its current commits putting pen to paper. Although there were initially supposed to be 20 signees to Clemson. Former safety commit Kaden Gerbhardt announced he has flipped his commitment to Ohio State, opting to stay home. This comes just weeks after confirming his commitment to Clemson, after the program experienced a small wave of decommitments.

Those decommitments hurt the depth on the defensive side of the ball. There are now just three defensive backs overall signed in the 2026 class. Only one of them, four-star Kentavion Anderson, is a proper safety. Anderson has a ton of upside, though.  On offense, Clemson pulled in some highly talented players.

Wide receiver coach Tyler Grisham will have three more young studs entering his room in the spring. All three players are four-stars who can compete for playing time right away. Naeem Burroughs and Connor Salmin have great speed, while Gordon Sellers has excellent length. While the talent at receiver will get much of the spotlight, what the Tigers were able to do in the trenches is just as impressive.

Clemson signed six offensive linemen in the 2026 class. Five of them are 4-star recruits who can also make an early impact. The Tigers didn’t make as much of a splash on the defensive front, signing just two players. Both players are consensus three-star recruits. Kam Cody plays the interior, and JR Jardrick plays the edge.

Rounding out the 2026 class, Clemson signed two quarterbacks. The Tigers added four-star Tait Reynolds and three-star Brock Bradley to the roster. They also signed four-star linebacker Brayden Riley, four-star tight end Tayveon Wilson, and long snapper Jackson Reach.

Class of 2026 Standouts

In the 2026 class, a few players are expected to stand out early on. The player many around the program are excited about is Burroughs, with his speed and playmaking ability. He is going to be a player who can be used in many different ways in the offense. Sellers might be the wider receiver to pay attention to early on, though.

His size, combined with his elite route running, will make him a dangerous threat that needs to be on the field sooner rather than later. Sellers’ high school teammate, Leo Delany, is another player who should see game reps early in his career. At 6’5 “and 275 pounds, Delany has a great frame and brings a ton of physicality with it. Sellers and Delany are a huge reason Providence Day, in Charlotte, NC, won the NCISSAA playoffs, scoring 40+ points in every game.

Another lineman who can make an immediate impact to improve the Tigers’ offense is Chance Barclay. He played both guard and center in high school. Barclay plays very aggressively on run blocks and also pulls very well.

One more signee to keep eyes on this spring is quarterback Tait Reynolds. Cade Klubnik is on his way to the pros, so the Tigers will be tasked with finding their next starting quarterback this offseason. Christopher Vizzina is the current frontrunner for the job. Chris Denson made a case for himself with his explosive performance against Furman. But Denson suffered an injury in practice leading up to the Palmetto Bowl.

Reynolds has the dual-threat ability that has worked very well in the Clemson system. Expect him to make a run at the job when he arrives on campus this spring.
