Clemson football players aren’t just focused on the gridiron—they’ve got some serious game on the golf course, too.

In a recent episode of Two Right Turns, Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik and linebacker Wade Woodaz opened up about their dream golf foursomes, and the names they dropped weren’t all what you’d expect.

Of course, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson made the cut—no surprise there. They’re legends of the game, and natural choices for anyone dreaming of playing a round with the greats. But the third name added a twist that caught listeners off guard: DJ Khaled.

The Grammy-winning music producer may not be known for his swing, but his loud, charismatic presence made him a memorable pick. “Tiger’s the GOAT, and Phil’s just a legend,” Klubnik said. “But if I could add someone who brings energy and just makes the day wild, it’s gotta be DJ Khaled.”

DJ Khaled, known for his viral catchphrase “LET’S GOLF!” made waves in March when he shared his fluctuating golf handicap on ESPN saying “It’s a ten on some ‘let’s go golfing’ vibe, and then a seven when it’s time to golf.” In a video that went viral, Khaled smoked a cigar while enthusiastically shouting “Let’s golf!”—capturing the perfect mix of energy and humor.

For fans, the lighthearted conversation was a welcome departure from the usual spring practice reports. It gave a glimpse into the personalities of two of Clemson’s biggest stars and reminded everyone that, off the field, they’re still college kids with big dreams and wide-ranging interests.

Turns out, whether it’s football or golf, Klubnik and Woodaz know how to keep things entertaining.
